Using PolyMon as task scheduling

Just sumpled on this neat utility today, and find it very promissing.

Using a few systems to monitor and others to schedule tasks, i find task scheduling and monitoring to have much in comon. Sheduled tasks also has to be monitored. And basicly everything is just a task that returns a status, The run time for a task naturally longer.

Will it be posible in the future to use PolyMon as a task scheduler?

I know it already can perform tasks with custom powershell scripts, but task scheduling will require more control on the scheduling and threaded control of the task process for stability and simultanoius tasks.

There are no plans to make PolyMon into a task scheduler. Although you are correct that there are some similarities, you are also entirely correct in observing that much more control on the scheduling aspect is necessary - as well as a very robust way of making sure tasks are kicked off exactly when they have to be kicked off. For monitoring purposes a task running a few seconds or even minutes late is not very important - not the case for a scheduler however.
There are plenty of good schedulers that exist already - many of them free or low cost (Windows has a nice scheduler, SQL has a good scheduler too, etc).
