WMI-monitor "access denied"

Hi

Thanks for a great product.
I am trying to use the WMI-monitor to check available disk space on a remote computer, but encountered a problem.

At first I got this error message:

Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

After searching google, I came across this guide describing how to enable WMI on the remote machine:

http://www.poweradmin.com/help/enableWMI.aspx

When I try to run the monitor now I get a new, not so different error saying:

Access denied.

Anyone with similar experiences?
Thank you in advance.

You need to make sure that the user making the WMI calls has the appropriate security rights.
There are two distinct users used to make these calls:
From PolyMon Manager, running any monitor uses your current credentials you are logged in as.
From PolyMon Executive (the service that runs the monitors on a periodic basis), the service user of the windows service is used for credentials. This property can be viewed and changed through your Admin Tools Service application.
Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Fred.

Thank you for your help.
I had a problem with access rights to the root/cimv2 namespace. Once I added access right for the user making the WMI call to the remote computer, it worked.

Thanks again,
